Throttle quadrant

During autumm 2003 i designed and made small throttle quadrant for my generic
home cockpit panel. I sended photos of progress to several forums and was little
suprised when i got lot of questions about plans and even few offers to buy
my throttles.
Well, my intentions is not to sell throttles. But also, my plan was from start to publish what i designed. So here is those drawings. Original design is done with SolidWorks 2003. So every component and screw is available in one big zip-file. Also. In future, i will publish 2D drawings of every component, except screws, what i have designed for my throttles. Please note. There is no any electronics, potentiometers, buttons or switches included in this design. This is part what you have to find out. I ended to this solution simply because one reason. There is not many people around who have exactly same buttons, potentiometers, gears and so on, available. Be free to use those components what are available for you. Finally, warnings... These drawings are copyrighted material of Jari Mikkilä. Any commerencial use is prohibited. Be free to use these for private use. Author will not take any responsibilities what ever happens when using my drawings. |

Here is SolidWorks 2003 files.
Files are in one zip-file. And remember to exctract these with subfolders. In root directory there is 5 assemblies. One for every major part and one where everything is connected together. Pro/Engineer and Pro/Desktop |

SolidWorks includes export feature to Pro/ENGINEER. Pro is widely used 3D-Cad
program. So i will give you two files. One for Pro/Engineer and one for
Pro/Desktop, what is light and is downloadable for free from PTC-pages
at www.ptc.com.
Prod.zip file includes all components as Pro/E and Pro/Desktop files. Because Pro/D is light, this zip-file does not include any screws. Proe.zip includes files for Pro/E and it has also screws and nuts included in assembly. This file will open with Pro/Desktop, but is Really slow to use. Download only to see what screws and bolts are used in different places. Files has few assemblies. Full.* is full assembly.
